How Do You Reboot a Dinosaur?

Sunday November 30, 2008

I have friends who can't even get their brand-new Vista laptops to start up correctly, so I'm not surprised that the recent "Walking with Dinosaurs" show at the Jacksonville Arena ran into technical difficulties halfway through. According to news accounts, the first part of the show went off without a hitch, but the animatronic dinosaurs couldn't be revived after intermission because of computer problems.

These kinds of things happen, right? The only problem is, according to this news site, patrons with disappointed kids couldn't get refunds at the arena's ticket windows, and were instead directed back to where they had bought the tickets (most likely Ticketmaster online). Luckily, disappointed customers also have the option of exchanging their tickets for another show, by which time that computer bug will hopefully be squashed.

You could say the show had it’s own K/T event.
