About Edmontosaurus:
First unearthed in Canada (hence its name), Edmontosaurus was a well-adapted plant-eater whose strong jaws and numerous teeth could crunch through the toughest conifers and cycads. With its bipedal stance and medium height, this dinosaur probably ate leaves from the low-lying branches of trees, as well as ground-level vegetation.
In a stunning feat of retroactive detective work, one paleontologist has investigated a bite mark on an Edmontosaurus skeleton and determined that it was made by a T. Rex. Since the bite was clearly not fatal (there's evidence of bone growth after the wound), this indicates that 1) Edmontosaurus was a regular entry on T. Rex's menu, and 2) T. Rex did occasionally hunt for its food, rather than always scavenging already-dead carcasses.
