Osteondontornis is notable for the small, serrated "pseudo-teeth" jutting out from its upper and lower jaws, which were probably used to snatch fish off the Pacific shoreline. This was the largest sea-going prehistoric bird that ever lived, second in overall size only to the truly enormous Argentavis from South America. More about Osteodontornis
