Lots of clothing manufacturers offer dinosaur-themed merchandise for kids, but you have to admire a company that makes dino-wear its exclusive domain. Based in California, Dinosoles specializes mostly in dinosaur-themed kids' shoes, but also backpacks, hats and T-shirts (perhaps because of its location, this outfit is especially good at landing product placement in entertainment magazines; for example, a recent People spread showed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's kid wearing Dinosoles).
I've had a chance to try out some Dinosoles merchandise, and while I can't vouch for how it compares with other dinosaur-themed duds (resistance to wear and tear is an important consideration, especially with fashion-conscious two-year-olds), I can say I was impressed by their "3D Shoes." The tops of these shoes are nicely decorated, but what really sold me are the bottoms, which bear raised imprints of dinosaur feet. In other words, when your toddler runs down the beach wearing Dinosoles, he'll leave convincing-looking dinosaur tracks--which is all the average preschooler can ask.
