Will Michael Jackson's Death Make More Room for Dinosaurs?
Way back in March, I wrote about Michael Jackson's scheduling conflict with Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular, which had booked London's O2 Arena for a summer week smack in the middle of Jackson's much-anticipated British comeback tour. Now, sadly, that conflict (which the dinosaurs won, by the way) has been rendered moot, which leads one to wonder if 02 will extend the dinosaurs' stay to make up for Jackson's absence.
Right now, the 02, like music fans worldwide, appears to be in a state of shock. The arena's web site states only that "full ticket refund information and procedures will be released early next week for all Michael Jackson "This Is It" shows. Fans are advised to hold onto their ticket vouchers/proof of purchase." It's as yet unknown whether the tickets will be transferable to Walking with Dinosaurs--or whether mourning fans of the late King of Pop will even be interested.
